WELCOME TO THE PATIO HEATER REPAIR .COM HOME PAGE

We specialize in the sale and service of SUNGLO outdoor heaters for both residential and retail use. We have been in business since 1990 and started out in the San Diego and Los Angeles area of Southern California. SUNGLO is the Original Outdoor Patio Heater with 40 years of proven success. The original SUNGLO heater was designed in 1961 by Edwin J. Cowan a leading U.S. infrared heating appliance engineer. A unique demand existed for a decorative, yet practical, gas fired heater. Mr. Cowan pioneered the circular radiant heater concept primarily for use in restaurants, hotels, and country clubs. Since that time the basic design has been modified for a wide variety of uses. The SUNGLO heater is now a welcome feature at popular resorts and hotels, fine restaurants and cafe's, swimming pools and spa areas, ski lodges and greenhouses. The above photographs are of actual customer installations. These attractive infrared radiant heaters are enjoyed in thousands of locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. People dining on the patios of fine restaurants and resort hotels will often find themselves pleasantly warmed by a SUNGLO heater. Radiant heat is like sunshine, it warms people and objects (like chairs and benches) rather than the air. SUNGLO and SUNPAK  heaters are inexpensive  to use. A single 50,000 BTU heater provides an umbrella of warmth up to 20 feet in diameter. As a business the extra revenue generated from the extended use of your patio more than offsets the minimal cost of maintaining the heaters. SUNGLO heaters reach full warmth in seconds, and thus only need to be on when people are present to enjoy them. The SUNGLO heater design provides practical warmth at low cost, while creating a convivial atmosphere in extended seating areas and ads a whole new dimension in comfort.

The SUNGLO is a comfort heater," and the coverage is the area in which people will receive a comforting amount of warmth. Some people require more warmth or less warmth than others to be comfortable and will either turn the heater up or down , or move closer of farther away as they desire.

GENERAL RULES  FOR LOCATING HEATERS:

It is much easier to maintain a comfort level in weather protected areas than in areas completely exposed to the elements. A SUNGLO Patio Heater can operate effectively even in completely exposed areas, although a weather protected area is desirable. Weather and wind protection allows the surrounding air to be warmed and used to enhance direct-radiant warming effects. When adding heaters to existing construction, due consideration should be given to locating heaters as near as possible to a gas supply line. Patio Heaters warming areas subject to a prevailing wind may be off-set slightly to the windward side of the heated area to allow the wind to carry warmed air into the desired area. Always locate heaters so specified clearances to combustible materials are maintained:

Clearance from top of reflector-18"

Clearance from sides of reflector-24"
